Empowering Learning Ltd is looking for SEND experienced Teaching Assistants. They are dedicated to supporting children in a classroom setting or on a 1:1 basis with personal care. Our schools cater for students with varied SEND needs such as PMLD (Profound multiple learning), physical needs, and dyslexia.

The role is based in a school located in the south-west borough of Kingston. The position requires the following:

  • Support with personal care.
  • Hours of work 8:30 am to 4 pm – short hours; part-time between 9 am and 2 pm is available.
  • Medical training with child or adult care, or an SEND school.
  • Peg feeding qualification or training to support.
  • Manual handling training completed within the last 12 months.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Experience supporting children with learning difficulties or physical disabilities.
  • Pecs and Macaton training.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff and students.
  • Flexibility to work with any physical needs and to provide emotional support.
