We are currently recruiting for a skilled and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed educator to become part of a supportive department, with the potential for a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with curriculum standards
- Promote safe and effective use of kitchen equipment and maintain high hygiene standards
- Inspire students to develop confidence and creativity in food preparation and nutrition
- Contribute to the wider school community and enrichment activities
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Food Technology, Design & Technology, or a related subject
- Experience teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Ability to provide two professional references
- Competitive daily rate of £172.98 to £200, depending on experience
