About the Role
Empowering Learning is looking for enthusiastic, caring and reliable Teaching Assistants to work on a day-to-day supply basis across primary schools in Burton upon Trent and the surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants the flexibility of supply work. Whether you have previous experience in a school setting or are looking to build your experience in education, we would love to hear from you!
The Role
- Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons.
- Working with pupils individually and in small groups to support their learning.
- Helping children develop their confidence, independence and social skills.
- Providing additional support to pupils who may need extra help with their learning or behaviour.
- Assisting with classroom preparation and learning resources.
- Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Supporting pupils during classroom activities and throughout the school day.
The Ideal Candidate
- Passionate about supporting children's learning and development.
- Patient, approachable and enthusiastic.
- Reliable, flexible and able to adapt to different school environments.
- Confident communicating with children and school staff.
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Previous experience working with children, in a school or in a similar setting is desirable but not always essential.
