We are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Birmingham with an immediate start available. This is a full-time, long-term role with strong potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The successful applicant will teach Science across all Key Stages.
In addition to delivering high-quality Science lessons, the role will include providing cover for other subjects when required, ensuring continuity of learning across the school. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) seeking to develop their skills in a supportive and well-led school environment.
Essential Requirements:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised equivalent qualification
- Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and deliver effective lesson cover when needed
- Safeguarding Level 1 trained (support available if required)
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Key responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Science lessons at KS3 and KS4
- Assess, monitor, and support student progress
- Provide cover for other lessons as required across the school
- Maintain strong classroom and behaviour management
- Contribute to the wider school community and departmental development
