We’re looking for a Teaching Assistant to support male students with SEMH and behavioural needs in a specialist school setting in Pinner. The school is an all‑through school for children aged 4–19 with severe, profound and multiple learning disabilities, including autism, physical, sensory, and complex needs. Staff work closely together to create a calm, predictable environment where pupils feel safe, supported and understood.

This is a long‑term role, 5 days a week, term time only, ideal for someone who values routine, relationship‑building and making a genuine difference over time.

The role:

  • Supporting male students with SEMH and challenging behaviour
  • Implementing behaviour plans, routines and strategies
  • Providing calm, consistent support throughout the school day
  • Working closely with teaching staff and senior leaders

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Calm, organised and resilient
  • Consistent and confident with boundaries
  • Comfortable supporting behaviour and de‑escalation
  • Able to follow structured routines and behaviour plans
  • Patient, reliable and committed to a long‑term placement

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Team‑Teach training or similar behaviour management training

Requirements:

  • Child & Adult DBS on the Update Service
  • Two professional references
  • Experience supporting SEMH and behaviour (school or similar setting)
