The Role

As a Nursery Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading a nursery room, ensuring high standards of care, learning, and development for children aged 0-5 years.

You will inspire and support your team while creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team of Early Years Practitioners.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Monitor children's development and maintain accurate learning records.
  • Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are always followed.
  • Support staff development through mentoring and guidance.
  • Create an inclusive, welcoming, and stimulating learning environment.

Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years Education or Childcare.
  • Previous experience working within a nursery setting.
  • Experience leading a room or supervising a team is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young children's development.
