We are recruiting a Behaviour Mentor to join a specialist setting supporting children and young people who have experienced challenges in mainstream education due to social, emotional and behavioural needs. This is a highly rewarding role for someone who is resilient, empathetic and passionate about helping young people succeed.
The Role
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with pupils who may struggle with emotional regulation, engagement in learning, confidence, attendance, behaviour or relationships. You will:
- Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
- Support students both in and out of the classroom
- Help young people develop emotional regulation and coping strategies
- Act as a positive role model and consistent adult presence
- Support behaviour interventions and personalised support plans
- Work alongside teachers, pastoral teams and external professionals
- Encourage engagement, confidence and independence
