We are seeking an on-site Technical Support Engineer (Junior) for a contract in the Fenchurch Street area of London for a 3 Year Term. The role offers an attractive day rate of £180.
Duties:
- Carry out equipment desk moves and workstation setups.
- Provide first-line support for staff computers and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot Microsoft Teams Rooms equipment issues.
- Assist with resolving Office 365-related support requests.
- Replace faulty hardware and organise warranty returns where required.
- Support remote rebuild activities in collaboration with the remote support teams.
- Diagnose and resolve printer and multifunction device issues.
- Act as remote hands for the Stockport team, including performing cable swaps and basic hardware checks.
- Swap peripherals out as required.
- Use the AutoTask system to log and track tickets and reported issues.
- Undertake ad hoc on-site tasks as needed.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and basic networking principles.
- Good familiarity with Office 365 applications and user administration.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Confident troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Effective communication skills when dealing with end users and remote teams.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a technical support, IT service desk, or similar junior IT role is beneficial.
- Hands-on experience working with end-user devices (PCs, laptops, mobiles).
- Exposure to AV/meeting room technologies such as Microsoft Teams Rooms is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of hardware components and peripheral setup.
