Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm

Empowered Personnel is seeking a skilled Assembly Operative to join a busy manufacturing business in Coventry. This is a physically active and varied position, playing a key role in the daily production and finishing of bespoke products. As an Assembly Operative, you will work closely with the production team to support smooth operations across multiple stages of the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will be dependable, safety focused, and comfortable working in a busy, fast paced environment where attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handling, lifting and assembling materials and products.
  • Preparing, packing and palletising orders for despatch.
  • Carrying out visual and quality checks on components and finished items.
  • Monitoring and maintaining stock levels in line with production requirements.
  • Using hand and air tools including paint guns, grinders, and impact drivers.
  • Reporting any faults or defects in products, tools or machinery to management.
  • Assisting colleagues across various stages of production as needed.
  • Performing other general production duties as required.
  • Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and effectively throughout the working day.
Skills And Experience Required:
  • Previous experience as an Assembly Operative within a manufacturing or assembly setting.
  • Physically fit and comfortable handling heavy or bulky items.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, punctual and well organised.
  • Good problem solving ability and sound judgement.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Adaptable and able to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • FLT Counterbalance experience (in house licences accepted).
