Empowered Personnel is currently recruiting a Production Operative. Our client is looking for a dedicated Production Operative to join a growing team and help to ensure the smooth operation of production and despatch processes.
Key Responsibilities of a Production Operative:
- Operate production machinery to manufacture products, developing a strong understanding of materials and processes.
- Accurately pick, pack, and label goods as per specifications.
- Assist with monthly stock audits and participate in regular team briefings.
- Process raw materials in the correct order and weight to meet finished goods specifications.
- Ensure production jobs are completed on time and per the production plan.
- Ensure that job cards are accurately filled out and all necessary sections are completed.
- Test manufactured products to ensure they meet required specifications and report findings to the Quality Manager.
- Ensure efficient and correct stock rotation (First In, First Out) and proper storage of materials and goods.
- Keep machinery and production areas clean, and ensure tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Work towards improving efficiency and ensuring procedures are followed.
- Provide cover in either production or despatch departments as needed.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices and keep work areas clean and free from obstruction.
Key Requirements of a Production Operative:
- Must have good numeracy and literacy skills for KG to gram conversions.
- Computer literate.
- Clear communication skills with staff at all levels.
- Able to work independently once trained, but also a strong team player.
- Willing to use a Reach/Forklift truck (current licence not required).
- After training, capable of operating large mixing equipment.
- Must have own transport due to the location of the role.
