Location: Broughton Astley (LE9)

Hours: Monday to Friday – 08:30 to 17:00 (37.5 hours per week)

Salary: £35,000

Empowered Personnel is currently recruiting a highly motivated and experienced Health & Safety Executive. Our client is a well-established and forward-thinking logistics company that values professionalism, reliability, and continuous development. By joining their team, you will become part of an organisation where your experience is recognised, and your contribution truly matters. This is a hands-on role that involves regular travel between sites and requires a NEBOSH-qualified candidate with a strong background in facilities and health & safety management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and compliance across all sites
  • Carry out regular visual patrols and document monthly premises checklists and equipment audits
  • Coordinate health and safety aspects of maintenance work
  • Report and advise the Directors on any emerging or existing issues
  • Review and maintain H&S documentation, policies, procedures, risk assessments, and management systems
  • Induct and train new and temporary staff on H&S policies and procedures
  • Ensure buildings, equipment, and facilities are compliant with legislative requirements (e.g. Fire Safety, PAT Testing)
  • Monitor workplace hazards and take corrective action where necessary
  • Oversee property and facilities maintenance across all sites
  • Appoint, manage, and supervise contractors, including review and approval of RAMS
  • Communicate scheduled maintenance and contractor visits to the wider business

Key Requirements:

  • NEBOSH qualification
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Experience in logistics/freight environment advantageous but not essential
  • Strong communication and attention to detail
  • Flexible, reliable, and a team player
  • Good project management and organisational skills
  • Positive attitude with strong work ethics
  • Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
