Empowered Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced Van Driver to join our client’s busy operation based in Bicester. This is a fantastic 12-week temp-to-perm opportunity for a hardworking and physically fit Van Driver looking for a long-term position. You will be responsible for delivering fresh fruit and vegetables to hotels, restaurants and other hospitality customers within approximately a 2-hour radius of Bicester.

The Role

  • Delivering fresh fruit and vegetables to hotels, restaurants and hospitality businesses
  • Completing approximately 4–6 deliveries per day, increasing to 8–13 drops during busy periods
  • Driving a refrigerated Sprinter van
  • Loading and securing goods safely in the vehicle
  • Manually handling and lifting goods of up to 20kg
  • Checking orders and ensuring the correct goods are delivered to each customer
  • Providing a professional and friendly service to customers

Working Hours

This is an early morning delivery role, with start times generally between 4:00am and 5:00am. You will typically return to the depot between 10:30am and 11:30am, depending on the delivery schedule and workload. You will be paid for a minimum of 8 hours. The role operates on a rota which will include Saturdays, so flexibility to work Saturdays is essential.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Hardworking, physically fit and customer-focused driver
  • Previous experience as a Van Driver or Multi-Drop Driver
  • A full UK driving licence
  • The ability to safely lift and handle goods weighing up to 20kg
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Flexibility to work Saturdays as part of a rota
