As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working on site in Plymouth, supporting them in delivering this important Royal Navy redevelopment project. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets and financial reports whilst conducting cost planning and control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Reviewing and negotiating contracts, subcontracts and variations, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Managing procurement processes, evaluating supplier bids and preparing interim and final payment applications.
- Monitoring project progress, forecasting final costs and identifying potential financial risks.
- Collaborating with clients, architects, engineers and contractors whilst mentoring junior team members.
This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:
- You hold a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Civil Engineering, with professional accreditation such as RICS or CIOB preferred.
- You have at least 5 years' experience in quantity surveying within construction or infrastructure projects, ideally within the nuclear or defence sectors.
- You possess strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods and cost control techniques, with proficiency in quantity surveying software.
- You're able to meet eligibility criteria including holding a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and having resided in the UK for the past 5 years for security clearance purposes.
