The Opportunity

I'm working with a well-established FMCG manufacturer in West Lothian who are looking to bring in an experienced Senior Production Planner to strengthen their planning function. This is a key role in the business — you'll be right at the centre of operations, ensuring production runs smoothly, efficiently, and in line with customer demand. It's initially a 6-month contract, but there is a genuine long-term opportunity for the right person. What You'll Be Doing

  • Developing and managing detailed production plans across multiple lines
  • Balancing demand, capacity, and materials to hit OTIF targets
  • Working closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Procurement teams
  • Managing stock levels, minimising waste, and improving efficiencies
  • Responding to changing priorities and resolving planning issues quickly
  • Driving continuous improvement within the planning process

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a Production Planning role within FMCG or manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of supply chain and production flow
  • Experience using SAP
  • Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business
  • Someone who can challenge, influence, and bring structure
