With product quality, wellbeing, and customer satisfaction at the core of their ethos, this business is leading the way in its sector and now offers a brilliant opportunity for a driven Shift Manager to join their night operations team.
This is a key leadership position on site, responsible for ensuring production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards in safety, quality, and team performance. You will be the senior contact during night operations, taking ownership of site performance and incident management during out-of-hours periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach and support your team to achieve operational KPIs and engagement goals
- Oversee hygiene and changeover processes to ensure efficiency and compliance
- Manage team training and development in line with operational requirements
- Maintain a safe working environment through strong adherence to health & safety standards
- Conduct investigations and lead on incident reporting where necessary
- Champion GMP and clean as you go practices to meet hygiene standards
- Control raw material usage using SAP and contribute to cost-saving initiatives
- Monitor and report on shift performance, conduct thorough handovers, and escalate issues appropriately
- Deliver production in line with the supply chain plan and proactively resolve issues
- Support and lead CI projects across the manufacturing function
What We're Ideally Looking For:
- Strong people management skills able to engage, drive performance and develop others
- Previous experience in a manufacturing/production leadership role (minimum 2 years)
- Familiarity with fast-paced FMCG environments
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and lead a team effectively
- Good IT proficiency, especially with Excel
- Experience working 24/7 shifts or 12-hour shift patterns
- Food manufacturing or BRC background
- MRP system experience
