With product quality, wellbeing, and customer satisfaction at the core of their ethos, this business is leading the way in its sector and now offers a brilliant opportunity for a driven Shift Manager to join their operations team.
This is a key leadership position on site, responsible for ensuring production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards in safety, quality, and team performance. You will be a senior contact during operations, taking ownership of site performance and incident management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach and support your team to achieve operational KPIs and engagement goals
- Oversee hygiene and changeover processes to ensure efficiency and compliance
- Manage team training and development in line with operational requirements
- Maintain a safe working environment through strong adherence to health & safety standards
- Conduct investigations and lead on incident reporting where necessary
- Champion GMP and clean as you go practices to meet hygiene standards
- Control raw material usage using SAP and contribute to cost-saving initiatives
- Monitor and report on shift performance, conduct thorough handovers, and escalate issues appropriately
- Deliver production in line with the supply chain plan and proactively resolve issues
- Support and lead CI projects across the manufacturing function
What We're Ideally Looking For:
- Strong people management skills able to engage, drive performance and develop others
- Previous experience in a manufacturing/production leadership role (minimum 2 years)
- Familiarity with fast-paced FMCG environments
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and lead a team effectively
- Good IT proficiency, especially with Excel
- Experience working 24/7 shifts or 12-hour shift patterns
- Food manufacturing or BRC background
- MRP system experience
