Job Description:

Quantock Outdoor Education is an alternative education provision delivering high quality learning and outdoor experiences to children and young people with additional learning needs and/or emotional and behavioural difficulties. Our skilled team devise and deliver bespoke learning programmes designed specifically to support the needs of our vulnerable young people and work closely with schools across the Southwest to deliver an all-inclusive education provision. We place our young people at the centre of what we do and aim to make the National Curriculum accessible to all.

We are looking for a dynamic youth support worker specialising in outdoor learning to join our growing team. You will have experience working with children and young people and delivering outdoor education programmes. We seek someone with excellent communication skills who can positively engage and motivate young people, regardless of their needs.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering bespoke outdoor education packages for various age groups and needs, ensuring safe, healthy, and stimulating environments.

We are seeking a flexible, committed individual passionate about empowering children and young people. The role involves working in offices, classrooms, and outdoor environments.

As an Outdoor Education Leader and Support Worker, work is often term-time to support schools between 08:30 and 16:30, Monday to Friday, with potential adjustments based on business needs and holiday programmes.

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check for child and adult workforce with barred list checks.
