We are looking for a dynamic youth support worker specialising in outdoor learning to join our growing team. You will have experience working with children and young people and delivering a range of outdoor education programmes. We seek excellent communication skills, able to positively engage and motivate young people, irrespective of their level of needs.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver bespoke outdoor education packages for a range of age groups and needs, ensuring safe, healthy, and stimulating environments.
- Work in combination of offices, classrooms, and outdoor environments.
- Support schools term‑time (08:30 – 16:30, Monday‑Friday), with potential for school holiday programmes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Driving licence (essential).
- Right to work in the UK (essential).
- Experience or qualifications in:
- Forest School (desirable)
- First Aid (desirable)
- Safeguarding (desirable, full training provided)
- Orienteering qualification (desirable)
- Agricultural or equine qualification (desirable)
- Level 2 Coaching Paddle sports Certificate with BCU 4‑star Award, sea or inland (desirable)
- Youth Work Qualification such as Level 3 in Youth Work (desirable)
- Walking Group Leaders Award (desirable)
Location & Travel
Taunton, TA2 8QN – must reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work.
