Overview
We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our growing HR team. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, this is a newly created role that offers an exciting opportunity to make a real impact across the business. This is a part‑time position, and we are happy to be flexible and work with you depending on the hours you are seeking.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers on day‑to‑day HR matters.
- Work collaboratively with HR Officers to provide effective HR support across the business.
- Take ownership of recruitment activities, supporting managers throughout the hiring process.
- Manage employee relations cases from start to finish, including:
- Disciplinary matters
- Grievances
- Performance management
- Absence management
- Coach and support managers to build confidence and capability in people management.
- Deliver and support training on HR policies, procedures and best practice.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of HR processes and ways of working.
- Support the employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to exit.
- Build strong and effective relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
- Assist with recruitment administration, including managing applications, preparing shortlists and coordinating interviews.
- Support the development and mentoring of HR Officers.
- Participate in and lead on ad hoc HR projects as required.
Requirements
- An experienced HR professional with a solid generalist HR background.
- Comfortable managing a range of employee relations cases.
- Confident advising and influencing managers at all levels.
- Knowledgeable in UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- CIPD qualified (or working towards qualification) would be advantageous.
