The predicted salary is between 25000 - 30000 Β£ per year.

Quantock Outdoor Education is an alternative education provision delivering high quality learning and outdoor experiences for children and young people with additional learning needs and/or emotional and behavioural difficulties. Our skilled team devises and delivers bespoke learning programmes designed specifically to support the needs of our vulnerable young people and work closely with schools across the Southwest to deliver an all-inclusive education provision. We place our young people at the centre of what we do and aim to make the National Curriculum accessible to all.

You will have experience of working with children and young people. You will be responsible for and lead in the planning and delivery of bespoke outdoor education packages for a range of age groups and needs, ensuring the provision of safe, healthy and stimulating environments. The role is during term time only, supporting schools between the hours of 08:30am – 16:30pm, Monday – Friday, with the possibility of changes dependent on the needs of the business and whether school holiday programmes are coordinated.

Requirements

  • Essential:
  • Driving licence
  • Access to a vehicle
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Previous experience working with young people
  • Desirable:
  • Forest School qualification
  • First Aid
  • Safeguarding (Full Training Provided)
  • Orienteering qualification
  • Agricultural or equine qualification
  • Level 2 in Coaching
  • Paddle sports Certificate with BCU 4-star Award, sea or inland
  • Youth Work Qualification, e.g. Level 3 in Youth Work
  • Walking Group Leaders Award

Ability to commute/relocate: Taunton, TA2 8QN – reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).

Β£27,012.17 per annum. This role is subject to the successful applicant having an enhanced DBS check for child and adult workforce with barred list checks.
