We are looking to recruit a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Transport Manager to support the Transport Manager in overseeing daily fleet operations, compliance, and driver management. This role is critical in ensuring smooth logistics, regulatory adherence, and cost-effective transport services. This is an ideal position for either a recently qualified CPC holder or someone on the route to gain this qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor vehicle maintenance, defect reporting, MOTs, PMI planning, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Supervise drivers regarding compliance, track working hours, monitor infringements, and promote safe driving practices.
- Support cost control initiatives by reducing non-contract maintenance and damage costs.
- Provide operational reports and support audits when required.
