Discount Builders Merchants are a growing, family-owned business with over 20 years experience supplying both the building trade and DIY enthusiasts. We currently operate depots across the West Midlands, Banbury, and Kent. Due to continued growth, we are now seeking an experienced and motivated Trade Counter Sales Executive to join our friendly team in Banbury.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a passion for customer service and a commitment to excellence. If you have experience in Builders Merchants, Construction Supplies, or Sales and Customer Service within a related field, we would love to hear from you.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist in processing sales and serving customers at the trade counter.
  • Use the sales system to ensure all building products are accurately processed.
  • Advise customers on products, prices, and general building material knowledge.
  • Handle telephone and in-person enquiries, providing first-class service and advice.
  • Liaise daily with Yard Staff to coordinate orders and deliveries.
  • Restock products, maintain stock levels, and perform regular stock checks.
  • Book and monitor customer deliveries.
  • Perform basic computer-based tasks and data entry.
  • Work flexible shifts as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate a proactive attitude and ambition to succeed.
