Role Description
We are looking for a Sourdough Bread Baker to join our team. This is a full-time, on-site night shift role, with working hours starting around 1:00-2:00 AM, including weekends. You will be responsible for producing high-quality sourdough breads from start to finish, including mixing, fermenting, shaping, and baking. This is a hands-on role where you will also support other areas of the bakery as needed; there is always something to do, not just sourdough.
Key Responsibilities
- Mixing, fermenting, and shaping sourdough breads
- Managing overnight production schedules
- Baking using deck ovens and monitoring quality
- Supporting production of other bakery items when required
- Maintaining high standards of consistency and presentation
- Keeping the bakery clean and organised
