Reporting to: Director/ Responsible Individual and working alongside Registered Manager
Key role and responsibilities:
- To develop policies and procedures that provide responses and interventions at a higher level in complex situations, within statutory guidelines and the statutory obligations of the Agency.
- To quality assure reports and documents to ensure appropriate evidence-based evaluation and evaluation of risk is evident on the foster carers and children's files.
- To provide and share focused and purposeful social work interventions and identified frameworks, with explicit aims and objectives, about desired outcomes within the context of managing risk to children.
- Supervise senior social worker and administration staff.
- To help in the appraisal of the panel chair and panel members.
- To mentor social workers and provide support to the Registered Manager and provide professional consultations.
- To take an active part to grow and scale up the business by commissioning more foster carers and developing positive working relationships with local authorities.
- To help panel operations run smoothly.
- To help with complying with Ofsted requirements and support the Director and Registered Manager.
- To review foster carers' suitability to continue to foster.
