Trainee CCTV/Sonar Surveyor

At Tomato Plant is a haulage and infrastructure maintenance company.

We are looking to recruit an individual which can be trained (and eventually qualified to OS19X) in the use of Win Can CCTV Software and VS200 Sonar profiling software, and to operate specialist MSI CCTV/Sonar Equipment.

Friday 07:00am to 17:00pm.

Requirements of Role

  • Assisting in conducting MSI CCTV/Sonar Boat surveys for clients such as HAL (Heathrow Airport Ltd), Environment Agency, Water Companies, etc. throughout the UK.
  • Have the ability to read maps/plans/site drawings and transpose the information correctly into the Win Can & VS200 software training will be given.
  • Assist in the coordination and deployment of field resources, ensure coverage of day-to-day requirements and associated equipment, permits and paperwork.
  • Liaison with management, team members, and clients representatives on site.
  • Support repair issues on specialist CCTV/Sonar equipment, plant and equipment as required including any software requirements training to be provided.
  • In the future conduct site visits on request of the management to provide information and solution suggestions for estimates and quotes and/or projects.
  • Assistance in the implementation of Risk Assessment and Method Statements.
  • Administration of all reporting with regard to survey data training will be provided.
  • Make sure clear instructions issued to field resources of work allocation as required.
  • Be available to provide operational cover as part of site works as and when required to cover absence or emergencies.
  • The work will be primarily based from our premises and to site locations around the South of the UK.

However, there may be the requirement to travel with the team to the Midlands and the North to carry out projects.

  • The company will pay overnight subsistence.
  • Some projects (HAL) may will be required to be carried out at night.

In these instances, an uplift to the basic rate of pay will be applied and the following day will be deemed a rest period.

  • The company will provide PPE.
  • All training for Confined Spaces Entry will be provided by the company.

Skills

  • To be methodical and detail orientated with excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
  • To be able to adapt and take on new skills and approaches.
  • To be able to use desktop PC systems and be IT literate.
  • Knowledge
  • Full Training will be given.
  • Experience in CCTV Sewer Surveys/Drainage would be an advantage, but not essential.

Qualifications

  • Safety, Health, and Environment Awareness.
  • Current full driving license.
  • Ability to attain an airside pass.
  • Experience advantageous but not essential.
  • OS19X would be advantageous.

Pay: £42,000 - £45,000 per year dependant on experience and qualifications plus overtime.
