About Proclense
Proclense has been delivering valeting, dealership services and logistical solutions to the automotive retail sector since 1989. Trusted by some of the UK's most prominent dealership groups including Lookers, Group 1 Auto and Steven Eagell. We've built our reputation on consistency, professionalism and genuine partnership. Our approach is founded on a core principle: we are not merely a provider of manpower, but a strategic partner, positioned to operate as an extension of our clients' teams.
The Role
We are looking for a driven, organised and people-focused Account Manager to join our management team. You will take full ownership of the operational management of multiple dealership sites across the Northeast or Scotland, ensuring every site runs to the high standards Proclense is known for. This is a hands-on, varied role that combines people management, client relationship building, compliance oversight and operational coordination.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Manpower Planning: Ensuring each site is always resourced with the right number of skilled valeting operators to meet workload demands.
- Recruitment, Retention & Development: Attracting, onboarding and developing valeting operators.
- Supplies & Equipment Management: Maintaining appropriate stock levels of equipment, materials and chemicals across all sites.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Monitoring and ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations at all times.
- Site Visits & Quality Checks: Conducting regular, structured site visits and quality audits.
- Client Liaison: Building strong relationships with dealership management, giving and receiving performance feedback, and responding swiftly and effectively to any issues raised.
- Team Collaboration: Working with and supporting fellow field colleagues to ensure consistency across the business.
- Business Intelligence: Keeping Proclense's management team and head office informed of developments, news and potential new business opportunities within your area.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in an operational or account management role, ideally within automotive, facilities management, or a related service environment.
- Strong people management skills you'll be recruiting, developing and motivating a team of valeting operators.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously.
- A confident communicator, comfortable liaising with both site teams and senior dealership management.
- Sound understanding of Health & Safety practices and COSHH regulations (or the willingness to get up to speed quickly).
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset you'll take pride in resolving issues before they become problems.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary reflective of your experience and the responsibility of the role.
- Competitive holiday package giving you the time to recharge and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
- Real autonomy to manage your area your way, within a framework that sets you up to succeed.
- High performers are recognised and given genuine opportunities to grow.
- Company vehicle is provided.
