Are you a creative problem solver who enjoys the physics and mathematical challenges design brings? We seek an Electronics Hardware Design Engineer with a passion for the design of embedded systems and automatic test equipment.

This all-encompassing role will focus your responsibilities on the design and development of Digital and Analogue circuits for a variety of innovative projects. Reporting to the Technical Manager your technical input will require you to have a good level of understanding of electronic hardware and embedded software principles.

You’ll have experience of:

  • Designing Digital and Analogue Electronic circuits
  • Using Analogue to Digital converters (ADC's), 16/24-bit types
  • Embedded Software development
  • Using 16/32-bit Microcontrollers (PICS / MSP430 / Cortex)
  • Using Schematic Capture & PCB layout tools
  • A good, working knowledge of using Op Amp Circuits, Oscillator Circuits
  • An understanding of Low Noise design techniques
  • Electro-Mechanical Principles (using Motors, Actuators & Sensors)

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience with using PLC's (Programmable Logic Controllers) and writing programs either in Ladder Logic or Structured Text.
  • Experience with using LabVIEW software and hardware under the National Instruments eco system.
  • A reasonable knowledge of Control Systems Engineering
  • A good understanding of Test & Measurement Principles
  • Experience championing initiatives that will reduce our carbon footprint and development costs.
