Assistant Manager The Carlton Hotel | Ilfracombe | Permanent Flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends As soon as possible The Carlton Hotel is looking for an energetic and dependable Assistant Manager to help the owners with the day-to-day running of our independent 35-bedroom boutique hotel in Ilfracombe. This varied, guest-facing position covers reception, guest services, food and beverage operations and event planning. It will suit someone who is hands-on, takes pride in excellent service and enjoys supporting guests and colleagues. Welcome guests and support reception duties, including arrivals, departures, enquiries and reservations. Help resolve guest requests promptly and maintain a warm, professional standard of service. Support food and beverage service across the hotel, including preparing service areas and assisting during busy periods. Help maintain operational standards and assist with the planning and delivery of hotel events, functions and group bookings. Work closely with the business owners and wider team to support the smooth day-to-day running of the hotel. Food and beverage experience is essential. Experience in hospitality, hotels or customer service would be an advantage. Flexible and available to work evenings and weekends as part of a five-days-from-seven rota.
