Duties
- Responsible for the communication of occupational health and safety advice to the workforce specific to the business needs.
- Responsible for the communication of the companies Safe Systems of Work to the site teams.
- Ensuring that the company proactively complies with Health, Safety & Environmental Legislation.
- To aid with the implementation and upkeep of the companies Health, Safety, Environmental and quality policies and procedures to ensure the company strategy is achieved.
- To provide input on the implementation of the QHSE management systems utilising the continual improvement process to improve safety and quality performance.
- To provide assistance with the upkeep of the management systems in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and UKAS 17020.
- Increase Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality awareness throughout the organisation.
- Carrying out Internal Audits of the Health, Safety & Environmental processes.
- Carrying out Site inspections to ensure that policies & procedures are properly implemented.
- Measuring Performance of the Health, Safety & Environmental processes.
- Carrying out Risk Assessments, assisting Site Managers with the development of Risk Assessments, ensuring that all documentation and method statements are appropriate and in place.
- Ensure that all hazardous substances have completed COSHH assessments.
- Review defect reports sent from site and action in accordance with the Defect Reporting Procedure.
- Assistance with the completion of tender bid quality sections as required.

Job Related Competencies and additional requirements
- There are no formal requirements for this role as training will be provided; however, possessing the following would be advantageous.
- Applicants must hold a full valid driving licence and be willing to travel.
- Hold a recognized certificate in occupational health and safety or engineering.
- Have a minimum of 5 years practical experience in a health and safety role, including the development and implementation of safety management systems.
- Have a minimum of 5 years practical experience in an engineering related role, including the development and implementation of safety management systems.
