Manage the pre-construction process within the Minor Civil Frameworks for a new area of work within the KBJV scope at Hinkley Point C.

The candidate will be involved in finalising design, quality and H&S documentation ahead of the commencement of works on site.

During the construction phase, the candidate will be involved in delivering one section of works.

  • Role responsibilities -
  • Draft and implement the pre-construction process for a specific scope of work within the Civil Framework at HPC.

This includes planning, estimating, design deliverables, quality documentation and programme.

The deliverables are to be reviewed by the pre-construction manager prior to submission to the client.

  • Liaise with quality department to ensure processes are in place for the preparation, review and briefing of all quality documents and procedures associated with new work areas.
  • Understand the design requirements for each work area including, Design Manager, Principal designer, Temporary Works Department and third party supplier/Manufacturers.
  • Ensuring realistic programmes are prepared, managed, monitored and reviewed prior to handover to delivery team.
  • Once the pre-construction stage is completed, the candidate will move to a delivery role for a section of the new works.

During the construction stage they will report to the delivery manager.

Person specification

Essential

  • Prior experience in Civil Construction Engineering at Sub Agent Level
  • High level of IT skills including Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in highly regulated environments
  • Good knowledge of digital engineering software ( Autocad, Civil 3D, Naviswork)

Desirable

  • Previous experience with software-based quality system (Dalux or similar)
  • Knowledge of Civil Engineering or Academic qualification sufficient to attain Chartered member level of ICE.
  • Previous experience in Temporary Works (TWC and/or TWD)

Role based at HPC office. No other travelling required.

Working from home may be possible on occasions, although consistent site attendance is required due to the nature of the project.
