JOB DESCRIPTION
About the Role
Our client is undertaking a significant Finance transformation programme involving the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (FSCM). We are looking for an experienced, qualified Systems Accountant to work client-side, embedded within the finance team, acting as the key finance stakeholder and subject matter expert throughout the programme. This is a hands-on delivery role requiring someone who can bridge Finance, IT and the implementation partner - translating business requirements into system solutions while maintaining the integrity of financial data and processes throughout the transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary finance subject matter expert for the D365 FSCM implementation, representing Finance in all system design and configuration decisions
- Ensure financial data integrity throughout the transformation including data migration, cleansing and validation
- Own and maintain AP, AR and GL processes during the transition, ensuring continuity of financial operations
- Work closely with the programme team, IT and the implementation partner to align system requirements with financial reporting needs
- Identify and resolve process gaps, supporting the design of improved end-to-end finance workflows
- Produce financial reports and management information to support the business during the transformation period
- Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide training to finance staff on new D365 FSCM processes
- Support cutover planning, go-live and post-implementation stabilisation
Skills & Experience Required
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified - essential
- Hands-on experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 FSCM or F&O, specifically the finance modules (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Financial Reporting)
- Proven experience working client-side on a D365 FSCM or F&O implementation - not purely as a consultant
- Strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes including P2P, O2C and R2R
- Experience of data migration, cleansing and validation within an ERP context
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced transformation environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills - able to engage comfortably with Finance leadership, IT and implementation partners
