A growing managed services provider is looking to appoint an MSP Field Engineer to support clients across a range of industries. This role combines customer-facing support with technical project work and infrastructure maintenance.
Duties

Deliver technical support to a broad client base.

Attend customer sites as required.

Manage incidents through the support system.

Maintain regular communication with customers.

Troubleshoot networking and server issues.

Install and support hardware and software.
-
Escalate service-impacting issues appropriately.

Monitor customer systems and generate reports.
-
Maintain ticketing records and technical notes.
-
Support critical incidents and planned maintenance.
What we offer:

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.

40 days’ annual paid leave.

Minimum 5 years’ experience within a relevant IT role.

Experience with Cyber Essentials and GDPR security standards, including implementation (mandatory) .

Microsoft 365 expertise covering Email, SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive (mandatory) .

Familiarity with Intune, RMM platforms and telephone systems.

Strong networking knowledge covering routers, switches, APs, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls and VLANs.

Ability to work effectively with external IT and service providers.

Good knowledge of recognised IT practices and procedures.

Windows Server 2016, 2019 and 2022, including Group Policy and security configuration.

Experience administering and implementing Azure solutions.

Knowledge of Windows 10, Windows 11 and Mac.

Experience preparing and deploying different client builds/images.

Strong written and verbal communication with a customer-focused approach.

Good independent troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.

Team player with a proactive attitude.
