We are seeking an Accountant to join a busy accountancy practice in Dungannon. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting, tax, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of sectors, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.

This role is ideal for a qualified or part-qualified accountant looking to develop their career within a supportive and professional practice environment.

  • Preparation of financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
  • Management of client bookkeeping, including review of cloud accounting records (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
  • Preparation of management accounts and financial reports for clients
  • Liaising with clients to provide accounting and tax advice in a clear and professional manner
  • Assist with setting up the practice for MTD for Income Tax
  • Supporting clients with compliance requirements and deadlines
  • Identifying opportunities to improve client systems and processes
  • Keeping up to date with changes in accounting standards and tax legislation.

Skills and Experience Required

  • ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification (part-qualified or qualified by experience considered)
  • Experience with cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and client-facing confidence
  • Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
