With a strong order book extending into 2026, our Cookstown based client has an opportunity for a New Product Development Design Engineer. Working closely with the Head of Design, you will play a key role in driving innovation, developing new products, and enhancing a wide range of existing equipment. We are looking for someone who thrives on creativity, problem-solving, and ongoing product improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop engineering solutions for new products and enhancements to existing designs to meet customer requirements.
- Generate complete manufacturing specification packages, including detailed engineering BOMs.
- Ensure products, both existing and in development, meet all safety, functionality, and reliability standards.
- Collaborate with production, procurement, and suppliers to enhance design efficiency.
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience in full product design in the heavy engineering sector (Agricultural, Trailers, Recycling, Crushing & Screening).
- Proficient in 3D CAD modelling using SolidWorks, with experience in nesting techniques.
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
