Working alongside the existing Accountant, the successful candidate will provide additional support within the finance function and take responsibility for a range of accounting activities, including monthly management accounts, reconciliations, Accounts Payable and Receivable, payroll, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
This is a varied role offering the opportunity to become an integral part of the finance team and make a positive contribution to the continued development of the business.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and ensuring the accuracy of financial information.
- Oversee and manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
- Process and manage payroll, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Assist with financial forecasting and cash flow reporting.
- Work closely with the existing Accountant to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the finance function.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure financial information is complete and up to date.
- Assist with financial reporting and analysis as required.
- Support the wider finance function with other accounting duties as necessary.
We are seeking an experienced finance professional who is confident working across a broad range of accounting duties.
- Previous experience in an Accountant, Management Accountant, Accounts Technician or Assistant Accountant role.
- Experience preparing monthly management accounts.
- Strong reconciliation and financial reporting skills.
- Experience across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Payroll experience.
- Good understanding of cash flow and financial forecasting.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
We would also welcome applications from experienced Accounts Technicians or Assistant Accountants who have a strong grounding in accounting.
