This is a newly created role to join a growing business and take ownership of a broad operational function across warehouse, manufacturing and transport. We are looking for a hands-on operational leader and exceptional people manager who can inspire and develop a high-performing team, while playing a key role in shaping the continued growth of the operation. This is an opportunity to make a real impact by driving productivity, service excellence, cost efficiency and continuous improvement.
Duties
- Lead and develop the warehouse, manufacturing and distribution teams of approximately 15-20 people.
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including goods-in, stock control, storage, picking and dispatch.
- Oversee production planning, output and resource utilisation.
- Manage transport and delivery operations, including driver management, scheduling and route planning.
- Monitor operational performance and KPIs.
- Drive continuous improvement and cost-control initiatives across the operation.
- Ensure high standards of health & safety, compliance and operational standards are maintained.
- Work closely with Procurement, Sales, Finance and senior management to support business performance and customer commitments.
- Ensure effective processes, systems and reporting are in place across the operation.
