We are currently looking for a Fabrication/Manufacturing Supervisor (NIGHT SHIFT MONDAY TO THURSDAY).

Together we are looking to strengthen our workforce with talented and motivated individuals across a range of disciplines to work from our Northwest Engineering Centre of Excellence and currently have this opportunity available.
About the role:
The main purpose of this role is to lead and supervise the manufacturing operations team to safely ensure the on-time delivery of finished products at correct quality and cost and to champion continuous improvement in all activities and areas of responsibility.
Key duties:
- To ensure your team operate in accordance with the Company's Health, Environmental and Safety policies, leading SHE activities in the relevant area.
- To lead the team to deliver Product to Cost and Quality requirements, ensuring that schedule adherence is met, creating recovery plans / short interval control where required.
- Responsible for effective deployment of resource, achieving business returned hour targets.
- Manage absence according to company procedure (holidays, sickness, disciplinary etc), ensuring RTW are carried within 24 hours of return.
- Fully responsible for welfare.
- Ensuring team competence can deliver targets, ensuring maximum flexibility within the team and arranging training courses.
- Prepare daily reporting of primary business measures.
- Ensure that the company Quality Management Systems and Manufacturing Procedures are followed without exception.
- Maintain the competency, capability and capacity of the manufacturing team to ensure delivery of programme requirements.
- Personally carry out start and end of shift briefs, ensuring direct workforce receive daily communications.
- Responsible for the upkeep and communication of local KPIs (SQCDP) to team and management.
- Lead daily auditing of workplace environment ensuring Target Conditions are met to 'visitor ready' standards.
- May be asked to be re-deployed to other areas of the business if required.
What weβre looking for:
- Degree / HND in Manufacturing or Engineering discipline.
- Proven Manufacturing Supervisor experience.
- Current driving licence.
- IOSH / NEBOSH certificate.
- Experience managing manufacturing environments safely and a firm understanding of managing risks.
- Leadership of Manufacturing teams in Aerospace, Automotive or similar mechanical engineering business.
- Leading and implementing Manufacturing schedules and recovery plans.
- Resource planning and competence management.
- Project reporting including definition and collation of KPIs.
- Working knowledge of SAP.
- Computer skills (MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Equipment maintenance and PM planning.
- Knowledge and understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
- Completion of employee performance reviews.
- Collaboration cross-functionally where required.
