This role sits within a busy supply chain function as an Inventory & Shipping Coordinator and is responsible for coordinating the movement, storage and despatch of materials and finished products within a manufacturing environment. The position manages goods from initial receipt through to storage, allocation to production and final shipment, ensuring stock accuracy, efficient logistics and compliance with quality and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory including receiving goods, storing materials and maintaining accurate stock records within the business system.
- Pick and issue materials to production, ensuring correct allocation and timely delivery to assembly areas.
- Package finished products securely in line with specifications and prepare them for despatch.
- Obtain freight quotes, arrange shipments and coordinate carrier collections.
- Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including labels and any required customs paperwork.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Inventory, Shipping / Logistics position, preferably within a Manufacturing environment.
- Strong planning, organisational and communication skills.
- Competent with IT Systems & Microsoft Excel.
Location - Stockport
Salary - £28k - £30k (dependent on experience)
Benefits - 5% Employer Pension + Employee contributions, Holidays & more!
