Ideal for an experienced production leader with strong communication and motivational skills. Prior experience in production management and familiarity with HSE and quality principles are highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Business Unit production provisions in alignment with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Manage a large team of CNC Machine operators, Shift Leaders, Shift Technicians, and Inspectors.
- Plan production schedules to meet internal and customer demands, aiming for KPI targets.
- Lead safety initiatives to prevent accidents and achieve quality KPIs.
- Drive continuous improvement activities to enhance production performance.
- Oversee resource management and performance appraisals to meet business objectives.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Production Manager, Machine Shop Manager or similar Leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining (4-axis CNC milling).
- Strong Continuous Improvement & Quality experience.
- HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Performance Management skills – OEE KPI targets.
Location: Burnley
Salary: circa £45k – £55k (dependent on experience).
Benefits: 31 days hols (inc BH), 4% pension, Health cash plan, fuel mileage for any business travel.
Permanent: 39 hours per week, 0745am – 1700pm (Mon-Thurs), 0745am – 1300pm (Fri)
