We have exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a well-established family run engineering firm. The business has grown 3 fold over the last couple of years, and due to more projects coming through they are expanding the Mechanical Department to cope with demand.
The successful candidate will manage mechanical projects from initial concept through to completion, ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency throughout.
This role is ideal for a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual who thrives on seeing complex engineering projects through from design to delivery. It would suit someone with strong 3D design skills β ideally SolidWorks, a proactive attitude, and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment. A strong commitment to quality and customer service is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full project lifecycle from handover to completion, ensuring professional standards are upheld
- Create detailed SolidWorks drawings and liaise with buyers to procure parts
- Attend customer sites, FATs, and project meetings as required
- Coordinate with internal teams and contractors to ensure smooth installation and commissioning
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders and maintain excellent client communication
In return you\βll receive a salary up to Β£40k, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays (rising with tenure) and bonuses (up to 10% per annum), all for a working week of just 34 hours with flex time!
