We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a fantastic engineering team who are looking for a contractor for a minimum of 6 months of work. The role would suit someone who has strong experience with sheet metal and is proficient with Inventor. The role is a 37 hours across a 4 day week, Monday β Thursday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate 3D models using Inventor, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and bills of materials in line with engineering standards.
- Ensure designs comply with health and safety regulations, including CDM, through risk assessments and mitigation.
- Collaborate with analysis engineers and project teams to refine designs and resolve technical challenges.
- Participate in design reviews and ensure manufacturability, operability, and installation are fully considered.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to research and development projects.
In return you will receive a rate up to GBP38/hr umbrella for a 6 month contract.
