Our Reinsurance Broking client is seeking an experienced Senior Reinsurance Technician to support a portfolio of complex Treaty Reinsurance business. This is a Senior Technical position that combines specialist processing expertise with mentorship and exceptional client service. Working closely with Brokers, Clients and Reinsurers, you will process a complex portfolio of Treaty business while ensuring a high standard of service and technical accuracy throughout the transaction lifecycle. Also as a key referral point for less experienced colleagues, you will work alongside other Senior Technicians to support the development of the wider team while ensuring the delivery of a first-class service to clients and trading partners.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior RI Technician role includes:

  • Manage end-to-end technical processing activities across proportional and excess of loss business.
  • Support Treaty accounts across complex reinsurance programmes.
  • Process premiums, pro-rata settlements and claims transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare and issue client and market documentation.
  • Liaise with Brokers, Clients and Reinsurers on technical processing matters.
  • Maintain account statistics and support portfolio reporting activities.
  • Provide guidance and support to less experienced colleagues, acting as a trusted technical referral point.

To be a successful Senior RI Technician you will have:

  • Experience handling complex Treaty reinsurance business.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of London Market systems, including IMR, CLASS, ECF and LORS.
  • The ability to resolve complex or unusual technical issues and implement practical solutions.
  • Strong Excel skills, able to analyse and maintain account and portfolio data.
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent business relationships with colleagues, clients, reinsurers and other market partners.
