A leading name in the Commercial Insurance Industry, has embarked on a successful expansion across East Anglia. They have exceptional relationships with major Brokers in the region (and UK wide) and this is your opportunity to have the freedom to underwrite in an environment where they want to trade and write good business.
Due to their strong growth, another opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Underwriter to join our Client\’s highly successful Commercial team.
This role is ideal for a Commercial Insurance professional who enjoys relationship-building and delivering tailored Insurance solutions.
You will evaluate and underwrite a variety of Commercial risks, focusing on both new and renewal business. This position involves collaborating closely with Brokers to structure competitive insurance solutions that align with the Company\’s risk appetite and meet client needs.
This is also a role that you are able to perform working remotely, from your home. However, you must live within the East Anglia region.
As Commercial Underwriter your main responsibilities will include:
- Assess and underwrite risks for new and existing clients in line with company guidelines
- Negotiate terms with Brokers to win and retain business
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with Brokers
- Analyse market trends to ensure competitive and profitable underwriting decisions
To be a successful Commercial Underwriter you will demonstrate:
- Proven experience within Commercial Insurance, ideally Property/Casualty classes
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
