A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Responsible Welding Coordinator to join a leading Heavy Fabrication business. This role involves overseeing welding inspection activities, ensuring compliance with welding regulations, and coordinating quality control processes.

The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of high-profile projects, including commercial buildings, infrastructure, and sports stadia across the UK and beyond. This role is ideal for an experienced welding professional with a background in quality assurance and inspection. It would suit someone with strong technical knowledge of welding procedures and a keen eye for detail.

  • Manage and maintain welding procedure qualification records (WPQRS) before welding activities commence.
  • Coordinate non-destructive testing (NDT) activities and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Oversee quality control processes and ensure all personnel hold the necessary welding qualifications.
  • Investigate and resolve complex non-conformances, working closely with NDT and production teams.
  • Complete technical reviews for new projects, ensuring materials, weld types, and positions are appropriate.

Proven experience as a Responsible Welding Coordinator or similar, relevant RWC qualifications, HNC in relevant technical or quality discipline, excellent understanding of Welding & Inspection, and experience with PQRs, WPQRs, NDT reports, NCRs and more.

Permanent: circa £50k - £65k (dependent on experience)

Hours: Day Shift 8.15 Monday to Thursday
