Supply Chain Quality Engineer

This role is responsible for managing the quality assurance and control of subcontracted work packages across engineering projects. Working closely with project managers, supply chain, procurement, and clients, the focus is on maintaining quality, time, and cost expectations through proactive engagement, inspection processes, and continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee quality control and assurance for subcontracted packages, ensuring compliance with client and project requirements.
• Conduct inspections, manage lifetime records (LTQRs), and support third-party reviews.
• Lead or assist with root cause investigations (RCA), non-conformance reporting (NCRs), and corrective actions (CAPAs).
• Generate TQs, PPs and Cons.
• Represent the Quality function in meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, support certification and traceability, and report on supply chain performance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Supplier Quality / Supply Chain Quality role within a Manufacturing environment.
• Willingness & Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance.
• Understanding of ISO 9001.
• Experience working within Nuclear sector highly desirable.

Location: Chorley

Permanent

Pay: £45k – £53k + Benefits

Working Hours: 4 day working week! Flexible Hours & Hybrid.
