A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Responsible Welding Coordinator to join a leading Heavy Fabrication business. This role involves overseeing welding inspection activities, ensuring compliance with welding regulations, and coordinating quality control processes.

The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of high-profile projects, including commercial buildings, infrastructure, and sports stadia across the UK and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain welding procedure qualification records (WPQRS) before welding activities commence.
  • Coordinate non-destructive testing (NDT) activities and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Oversee quality control processes and ensure all personnel hold the necessary welding qualifications.
  • Investigate and resolve complex non-conformances, working closely with NDT and production teams.
  • Complete technical reviews for new projects, ensuring materials, weld types, and positions are appropriate.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Responsible Welding Coordinator or similar.
  • Relevant RWC qualifications, HNC in relevant technical or quality discipline.
  • Excellent understanding of Welding & Inspection.
  • Experience with PQRs, WPQRs, NDT reports, NCRs and more.

Location: Thirsk

Permanent: circa £50k – £55.5k (dependent on experience)

Hours: Day Shift (Monday-Thursday 08:15-17:15, Friday 08:15-13:00) – 39 hours
