We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Design Engineer to provide solutions to complex projects. The role involves designing and improving equipment using 2D and 3D CAD (using Solidworks), maintaining technical documentation, and offering hands-on support for engineering projects.
The successful candidate will contribute to project planning, equipment maintenance, and problem-solving, ensuring that all design work meets industry standards. This is a varied and engaging role that requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to engineering challenges.
This role would suit an Engineer in the true sense of the word. Whilst there is Design, you will be able to run calculations, lead technical projects from the front, put together BOMs, and work with multidisciplinary teams to provide solutions to complex challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new equipment and improve existing designs using SolidWorks or AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with project specifications and engineering standards.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including reports, manuals, and equipment specifications.
- Work closely with project teams, procurement, and external vendors to ensure equipment meets project requirements.
- Provide technical support for project-related challenges, assisting with breakdowns and troubleshooting engineering issues.
- Ensure all designs comply with health, safety, and regulatory requirements, participating in design reviews and quality assurance processes.
