Due to big investment, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work with a Global Leader in Defence in the heavy engineering sector in Stockport!
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop design solutions in collaboration with the engineering team.
- Check and verify technical drawings and specifications.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including reports and manuals.
- Conduct hardware development and testing to ensure quality standards.
- Act as a representative at customer review meetings, liaising with suppliers.
The ideal candidate for the Mechanical Design Engineer position will possess:
- A degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Proven experience in the design and development of mechanical systems.
- Strong understanding of large welded and bolted structures.
- Experience leading projects from concept to production.
In return you’ll receive a salary up to £50k, a pension of 7% provided by the client and 25 days holidays + Bank Holidays.
