An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Buyer to join a busy engineering and manufacturing environment, supporting the procurement of goods, materials and services required for customer projects and operational activity. This role offers the chance to develop purchasing experience within a fast-paced technical setting while working closely with suppliers, internal departments and the wider procurement team. This role would suit someone with previous exposure to purchasing, procurement or supply chain administration within an engineering or manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Purchase materials, components, equipment and services to support customer orders and operational requirements.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to manage purchasing requirements, delivery schedules and procurement activities.
  • Expedite deliveries and resolve supplier or invoice queries to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Support supplier performance monitoring, cost-saving initiatives and lean supply chain practices.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and support ERP/MRP system activities and change control.
