We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Design Engineer to join a specialist engineering business designing and manufacturing industrial ovens, dryers and thermal processing systems for customers across a range of industries. This role will support projects from concept through to commissioning, developing bespoke engineering solutions and ensuring designs meet performance, safety and quality requirements. This position would suit a Design Engineer with experience in industrial equipment, process systems or bespoke machinery who enjoys seeing projects through from initial customer requirements to final installation. It will appeal to someone who is technically strong, customer focused and confident working closely with manufacturing, installation and project teams.
Key Responsibilities- Design industrial ovens, dryers and thermal processing equipment to meet customer specifications and industry standards
- Produce 2D and 3D engineering drawings using AutoCAD, fabrication drawings, P&IDs and technical documentation
- Generate Bills of Materials and support procurement activities for project delivery
- Provide technical support throughout fabrication, assembly, testing and commissioning phases
- Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification
